Rough Fields presents the first ever solo recording of Steve Reich's seminal piece of minimalist music. Weighing in at just under 57 minutes, and orchestrated for the various elements of the Rough Fields instrumental array - rescued string instruments, wheezy melodicas, found objects and field recordings - the rendition blends the clean minimalist structures of the original score with the mess and life of the Rough Fields sound.

This release forms the first recorded work from Rough Fields since his 2012 debut "Edge of the Firelight" ("Astonishing music" - Gilles Peterson), aside from a recent series of critically acclaimed remixes for Part Time Heroes, Yosi Horikawa, Hong Kong In The 60s, Dutch Uncles and, most recently, Flying Ibex ("blissful, all-encompassing noise" - XLR8R).

Mixed and mastered by Claudio Passavanti, the recording is released in digital formats by Bomb Shop on November 11th 2013. Dependent on retailer, lossless formats are available and a digital booklet is included containing photographs from the sessions and extensive sleeve notes by the artist.
